baseball card value? i have a juan gonzalez 2001 upper deck baseball card. it has a piece of a game used base. THe card number is B-JG. Do you know the value of the card or where i could find the value for free.

trcolvard replied: "Check Beckett.com"

steffers27 replied: "You might check eBay.com and see if there is a card similar to yours being sold now. You could always contact an eBay seller and ask them what they think, most eBay sellers are friendly."

mysterious stranger replied: "If the card was made in 2001 it might not be worth that much wait till 2050 or pass it down for generation for generation and let it grow in cash value. You could always go to a place that buys baseball cards and ask them how much its worth"

padresfan76 replied: "Check to see if the same card is on Ebay and how much it is selling for. Remeber just because a value is put out on your card doesn't mean it will translate to the true market value."

m_soulliere replied: "Juan Gonzalez baseball cards"

Andrew P replied: "You can look at a Beckett magazine to find the value. If it is numbered it will be more but if not then I would say between $8.00 to $15.00 max. I have gotten some cards that have game used pieces that are only worth $5. The cards that are numbered for example 12/75 are worth more. A 1/1 is what everyone looks for though."

ilvsgtsmth replied: "$20 at most, unless there is a gold series number on the back (45/1000) for instance... even then it has to be 1 out of a 10 card series to be worth anything"

Chi Town Sports Fan replied: "I have a subscription on beckett.com which is the best place to check, and i looked it up for you but they didnt have it listed. My guess would be $10.00"

Ted Williams Leaf Baseball card value? I have a Ted Williams Baseball card from a family estate. On the back it says it is a leaf with the date 1949. I have it listed on ebay and someone is telling me I should pull it off that it is worth thousands if graded. They also said it is a 1948 (it says 1949). It appears to be in excellent condition. I've always felt I got whatever something was worth on ebay. Any ideas what I should do?

billsnickr replied: "I'd bring it to an appraiser or a card shop and ask. I don't know anything about grading, but if it's a Ted Williams card, I would hold onto it because ANYONE in the Boston area (myself include) would pay good money for it."

_ replied: "Definately pull it off and get it graded first. It is the differance between a few hundred and a few thousands... Graded and un-graded..."

jesusrocks replied: "take it off ebay immediately check out a beckett baseball card guide - a card of this magnitude would surely be in there with it's value (based on what a collector would pay) you should also have it graded to really find out the true value of the card - you can send it away to different companies that perform this service"

toughguy2 replied: "I would say you have a very valuable card . Of course the value depends on he overall condition of the card. One like this in very good condition is probably worth about $600-700. In Excellent condition probably $1200-1500 and in Near Mint probably $2000-2500. Of course those are only my guess as I'm a collector myself. Have this card graded and if you want to sell it, auction it off to the highest bidder with the realization you're probably gonna get maybe half the book value. Hope I helped you."

Baseball Card value, Can somebody help me? I have, in my possession, an original 1922-1923 signed Babe Ruth basball card-in mint condition. I found it while searching through my attic. Does anybody know how much it's worth?

Utter Chaos replied: "The first thing to do is get it graded and authenticated, both the card and the signature. If it's truly an original card in mint condition with a authentic signature then I would guess it could be worth around $10,000. I do find it strange that somebody will leave an original Babe Ruth signed card behind in an attic though."

ImaS2bum replied: "probably about 5000 so you should check out the card shows so you can talk to a dealer"

Henry G replied: "You definitely should not count your money until it is authenticated but if it was real, it would be worth many thousands. I'm doubtful about it because in those years, not many sets were made, and also, it wasn't really normal to get cards signed. It sounds more like a reproduction with a facsimile autograph."

Corrado's Nephew replied: "Have it looked at and make sure it's not a remake of some kind. Very few people find real rookie cards of Babe Ruth in mint condition some 85 years later."

What is a reliable website to look up baseball card values and learn about their conditions too? I recently recieved about a hundred baseball cards I bought in about 91' as a kid back. They have been in a drawer in a ziploc since almost when I bought them. I would like to know what kind of value they have (just curious). They are probably in average or slighty better then average shape. So if anyone knows a good website, I would appriecate them sharing it because I know little about baseball cards Thanks! :)

Resasour replied: "http://www.beckett.com you have to subscribe.. i think its 5.00 a month and you do it a month at a time... then you go to your subscription and type in players name and card number (easiest way to look it up) and it will tell you the name of the set its from such as 1991 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes or whatever and it by default will give you the price for near mint mint condition... if the card is only in good condition you can scroll on the price area to view the price for a good condition.... also the prices they give you are high book low book prices... or you can go to walmart and buy the beckett baseball book (about 20.00) and look it up that way..."

Unknown Baseball Card Value? I went to a Twins Baseball game back in 2002 and at the door they handed out a limited supply of Torii Hunter 2002 Gold Glove cards That are 24 Karate gold. Is there a price on the cards currently?

singlegal replied: "Use a search engine: Google, Yahoo, any of them.... and just plug in "Torii Hunter cards"...If there is a "price on them" it'll come up or at the very least there will be links. If you get really stuck go to your local library and ask for information at the "Information Desk.""

How have baseball card values done recently? I have quite a collection I built through the 90's. When I stopped around 2000 it seemed like there was an explosion of new brands and types of cards, which I would think would lower value. And of course there was the steroid scandal and inflated statistics. Just curious as I've been away from the hobby for a few years now.

Rick replied: "I can't get anybody to buy any unless they are before 1975. So I couldn't tell you."

The shop replied: "I think they have gone way down since the Internet has made them available to virtually anyone who has a few bucks and maybe doesn't even care about the actual history of the card or the game, unfortunately, and its just become another way to make a quick buck for the fly by night investors. I'm actually in the same boat as you as I have a lot of my time and money and effort into these cards, and unfortunately, my collection was worth a lot more back in the eighties, but since the Internet came around, I would estimate the same collection to be worth about only half as much now. The world wide web has many strong-points, but it has killed this hobby as far as I'm concerned."

Chuck C replied: "I was a huge collector as well from about 1987-1993. That was the baseballcard boom period. So any cards around that time are not worth much, because many are circulating. This is kinda off topic but since you are a baseball card guy I thought I would share this with you. I had an 1989 Uperdeck Ken Griffey JR rookie card, heck I had the whole 89 Uperdeck set, but I remember trading my Griffer for a 1990 Score Bo Jackson football/baseball black and white card. At the time Beckett priced both of them at $13 dollars. About 2 years later the Griffey was worth $110 the Bo Jackson unlisted meaning a .05 cent value. Easily my worst move ever."

baseball card value and info? We found a box of tops baseball cards in grandpas attic from the 1965 phillies. We opened one and it had johnny callison name. Are these of any value. There are some that are on uncut lithograph sheets as if he got them before they were cut and sold.

Bradleylovespenut replied: "I have a Derek Jeter prospect card, worth about 5 grand!"

Alex Rodriquez* replied: "The Callison card is worth about 60 bucks"

Utter Chaos replied: "Need more info. If they are actual Topps cards from 1965 it would have the team name in a Pennant. To figure out the year of the card you take the last year of the stats and add one. If they are Topps cards they will have T.C.G. printed on the back. Johnny Callison was one of the more popular Phillies during the era, however the Phillies were not that good and the only Hall of Famers that played for them in the mid 60's were Fergie Jenkins and Jim Bunning. So there's probably nothing of value that will enable you to eat at an expensive restaurant. edit: The Callison card is not worth 60 bucks. I can go to ebay right now and buy one for about $5.00."

i found a baseball card... value? so i was digging around a draw to day and found a post cereal base ball card (my brothers loved to collect these things). it's a 1991 roger clemens. i just would like to know the value of it. okay okay, ya don't have to jump on me about it. i really could care less for sports and sports cards. i just wanted to maybe make some money, but i guess not.

Go Braves! replied: "Roger Clemens has like no value now. I'll trade you my 2007 Topps Joe Smith Rookie Card for it?"

Richard H replied: "It is worth the amount of a pile of Cat Shi*"

Detroit Tigers (3-6) replied: "He's innocent until proven guilty but we all know he's guilty. It's worth nothing."

do replied: "I would suggest looking it up in a price guide like beckett. If you're too lazy to do that, I'd estimate it at mabye $2. At tops."

c dub replied: "i agree with them i had a aotugraphed roger clemens baseball that was worth like 250, its now worth somewhere between 5 to 10 dollars."

Slappy LaRue replied: "The one guy's guess of 2 bucks was probably fairly close, which means you couldn't get 75 cents for it. If you tried selling it on Ebay, you MIGHT get a quarter for it. And that's only if it's in mint condition. Check for yourself."

Jack H replied: "Worthless even before the steroids, don't bother collecting non rookie cards"

vladimir guerrero replied: "I'd say about $2."
